First Bankers Trust Company, N.A. (the “Company”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Bankers Trustshares, Inc., announced the promotion of Nikki Cain to Senior Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Melinda Boyer to Senior Vice President, Human Resources; both Cain and Boyer will serve as executive officers of the Company.

Cain joined the Company in 1998 as a Network Administrator.  She has held the position of Information Security Officer since 2014 and Enterprise Risk Manager since 2021.

“I’m really quite proud of the work we do here at First Bankers Trust and look forward to expanding our business’ commitment to security and risk mitigation as a member of our thought leadership team,” says Cain.

Boyer joined our company in 2019 as Vice President of Human Resources and a member of our Executive Committee.

Boyer says, “I am excited to be promoted as one of the bank’s executive officers and to have the opportunity to be a voice representing the employees and contributing to the growth of the company.  I look forward to continuing to watch us thrive together.”
